Via the blogroll at Out of Ambit, clicked to A Cat in the Kitchen, found a link for a recipe using chickpea flour, called farinata, which helpfully linked to another recipe.

Alas, it's a recipe that requires an overnight rest for the batter. Darn. But after that, buon appetito!!

Well, the day wasn't very energetic, after last night's debacle. But at least it didn't contain further traumas. Forgot to clean the cats' boxes, now that I'm thinking about it, urk! Oh well, tomorrow.

I tried the oatcakes recipe again, and realized that the alternate method of finishing the second sides of the oatcakes yields a superior nibble. So, I changed the entry, adding the necessary extra.

Made the vegetarian chili last night, partly because it really does taste better if it's left to sit overnight. But I had a hankering for something different from the usual corn-based quick bread. ( Maunderings related to yeasty business )
